Very *very* short blog post, but seeing the response I received from Twitter<\/a>\u00a0(and for me, 10+ retweets\/favourites is a lot, I don’t post things that are that interesting!), I figured I would share this.<\/p>\n

My mum tagged me in a photo on Facebook this morning. She said it was fitting for me and I most definitely agree:<\/p>\n

A man told me that for a woman, I was very opinionated. I said ‘for a man, you’re kind of ignorant’ – Anne Hathaway (yes, they spelt her name wrong in the iamge)<\/p><\/div>\n

I honestly think this is a fabulous quote – and I’m somewhat ecstatic that my mum thought it was applicable to me. Makes me know that she’s proud of me\u00a0especially<\/strong> for being opinionated and standing up for myself.<\/p>\n

For some reason, this makes me feel extremely proud…because I know\u00a0she’s<\/strong> proud of me. It’s wonderful to know that I have the support of people around me to be who I am, to express my views and opinions and know they’ll be heard, and to be loved and appreciated\u00a0because<\/strong> of my outspokenness and tendency to be opinionated at times (read: all the time).<\/p>\n

So this post is dedicated to another opinionated woman – my mum, Philippa – for being awesome and for helping to make me the opinionated, outspoken, stubborn, wilful, headstrong woman that I am.<\/p>\n
