…2018 (and, truth be told, 2017) was pretty full-on and hectic for me.
Being on maternity leave, watching a tiny human continue to grow into the adorable (troublesome!) gremlin toddler she is now, navigating my return to work, going back part-time, balancing work and home…
It’s been a fun time. Stressful as all hell, but fun nonetheless!
And I haven’t updated here in close to a year. In face, in two days, it will be *EXACTLY* one year, since I made my last post – which was regarding my nightmarish experience with PND/PPD/PDD.
So 2019 is a new year. I’m not going to say a new me though – I’m still the same purple-haired, sweary, sarcastic and ranty sysadmin you’ve all come to know (and hopefully love!).
But I would like to make a few changes. And my first change is that I want to make sure my blog (which, let’s be honest, was my first baby!) is getting the love and attention it deserves. And with that, my first official new year’s resolution is put into action:
To update my blog with a new post at *least* once every two weeks. That should give me around 25 posts before the end of the year. And I am really *really* hoping that at least two-thirds are going to be technical…
I have been working my butt off on a few posts (regarding sysadmin resources; delegation of rights) which I hope to put out in the next month or so, and I’ve got some old posts I’d like to go back and revisit my ideas on. If you see me slipping and falling behind on my updating, don’t be afraid to poke me into action – we can all do with a little bit of a push every now and then!
So…watch this space!
